Ben Christensen has spent the majority of his life as a resident of Lethbridge and area. As an entrepreneur he began his very first business when he was only 13. Since then Ben Christensen has become a recognized member of our community.
As a small business owner myself, I have personally felt the impact of COVID-19 on our economy. It is time for our community's leadership to play a functional role in implementing strategies to re-open small business in our community rather than closing them. As a past member of the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce I understand the importance of working with these organizations to promote economic growth and sustainability vs adopting strict and unnecessary lockdown measures which carry a detrimental impact on our community and its future. I feel that our city's leadership needs to focus on strategies that encourage our business community to open its doors rather than closing them. This is my goal for the economic future of our city.
As a community volunteer with Shaw Spotlight (our community broadcaster) I have been privileged to share amazing stories that connect our community and that empower our strength as the heart of Southern Alberta. This experience has lent me an opportunity to obtain insight into critical issues facing our community on both a social and economic front. I plan to use this experience to provide better leadership for our city and the community which we serve.
